作鐆（隨醉反左傳云夙駕出鐆杜注云取火具也淮南陽鐆見日則熯而為火也熯音然善反說文從金隊聲也隊音遂經文作燧或作𤎩皆俗字也）。

Make a fire mirror (作鐆: [鐆 has the fanqie] 隨醉反. The Zuo zhuan says: 'Hitching the carriage early, he brought out the fire mirror (鐆).' Du's commentary says: 'An implement for obtaining fire.' The Huainan[zi says]: 'When the solar mirror meets the sun, it scorches and produces fire.' 熯 has the sound 然善反. The Shuowen [says it is] composed of 金 with 隊 phonetic. 隊 has the sound 遂. In the sūtra text it is written as 燧 or as 𤎩, both of which are popular forms).
