41.6

喪𠂠（桑葬反鄭注禮記云亡失曰喪說文亾也從哭亾聲俗作[〦/(口*口)/(┌/┌/一)]亦作喪皆非也下乎字說文云語之餘聲也從𠔃[必-心]聲[必-心]音片蔑反）。

Loss [of life] (喪𠂠: pronounced [桑 + 葬] s-àng [sàng]. Zheng [Xuan's] commentary on the Liji says: "To perish and lose is called sang." The Shuowen says: "To perish. It derives from 哭 with 亾 as phonetic." Vulgar forms written [〦/(口*口)/(┌/┌/一)] or 喪 are both incorrect. The lower character 𠂠 (hu): the Shuowen says: "The lingering sound of speech. It derives from 𠔃 with [必-心] as phonetic." [必-心] is pronounced [片 + 蔑] p-iē [piē]).
