鄔波索迦（梵語烏古反亦云優婆娑相受三歸住五戒者優婆呵此云男一云近事或言近宿謂近事三寶而止㝛也又云善㝛亦言清信皆義譯也舊言優婆塞訛也）。

Upāsaka 鄔波索迦 (Sanskrit: *wū-gǔ* fanqie; also called *youbocike* [優婆娑相]; one who takes the three refuges and abides by the five precepts; *upāsa* means "male"; another explanation says "approaching service" or "approaching abode", meaning drawing near to serve the Three Jewels and lodging near them; also called "good abode" or "pure faith", all being translations of its meaning; the older rendering *youpose* [優婆塞] is an error).
