缺減（上犬悅反蒼頡篇云缺虧也說文器破也從[午/止]從决省聲也下咸黯反押咸反字典曰自秏欠下曰減集訓云減秏也從水咸聲也）。

Deficient and reduced (缺減: the first character has the fanqie 犬悅反; the Cang Jie pian states: "Que (缺) means diminished." The Shuowen jiezi states: "A vessel broken; from [午/止] and the phonetic 决 abbreviated." The second character has the fanqie 咸黯反 or 押咸反; the Zidian states: "Self-depletion and falling short is called jian (減)." The Jixun states: "Jian means depleted; from the water radical with 咸 as phonetic").
