煙等（上鷰賢反國語云啖煙達於上也考聲云火煙也說文從火垔聲或作煙古作[序-予+((栗-木+土)*大)]論文作烟亦通垔音因）。

Smoke and so forth (煙等; the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 鷰 + 賢 [yān]. The Guoyu says: "Eating smoke reaching upward." The Kaosheng says: "Fire smoke." The Shuowen says: "Formed with the fire semantic and 垔 as phonetic; also written 煙, and anciently written [序-予+((栗-木+土)*大)]." In the treatise, it is written 烟, which is also acceptable; 垔 is pronounced yīn).
