鞭撾（上必綿反下陟爪反聲類云撾捶也古今正字從木過聲也）。

Whip and lash (鞭撾: the upper [character has the fanqie] 必綿 [b- + -ian → biān]; the lower [character has the fanqie] 陟爪 [zh- + -a → zhuā]. The Shenglei says: “撾 means to strike.” The Gujin zhengzi: “Formed from 木 (wood) and 過 as phonetic”).
