敗壞（排賣反說文敗毀也從攴貝聲今從文支之略也古文作贁下懷怪反說文自破曰壞從土褱聲褱音懷從𥄳從衣𥄳音大合反）。

Ruined and decayed (敗壞: the first is pronounced with the fanqie 排賣 [bài]. The Shuowen says: "To destroy; deriving from 攴 with 貝 as phonetic." Today it is written with 文, an abbreviation of the branch radical. In ancient script it is written as 贁. The second is pronounced with the fanqie 懷怪 [huài]. The Shuowen says: "To collapse on its own is called huai; deriving from 'earth' [土] with 褱 as phonetic." 褱 is pronounced huái; it derives from 𥄳 and 衣; 𥄳 is pronounced with the fanqie 大合 [dá]).
