刧掠（上劒業反鄭注禮記云劫脅也人欲去以刀脅之或曰以刀止去曰刦說文從力古今正字從刀從怯省下良灼反韻英云強取也杜注左傳云刧掠財物也顧野王云鹵掠奪取物也又音亮訓義並同亦作剠轉注字也）。

To plunder and loot (刧掠; the first character is fanqie 劒 + 業. Zheng's Commentary on the Liji says: "劫 means to coerce; when someone wishes to leave, coercing them with a sword; or, using a sword to stop someone from leaving is called 刦." The Shuowen gives it with radical 力; the Gujin zhengzi gives it with radical 刀 and 怯 abbreviated. The second character is fanqie 良 + 灼. The Yunying says: "To take by force." Du's Commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: "To rob and plunder property." Gu Yewang says: "To pillage and seize goods." It is also pronounced 亮, with the same gloss and meaning. It is also written as 剠, an associative transformation character).
