麋鹿 (Pronounced with the fanqie 美悲 [mí]. The Kaosheng says: "The elk (mi) resembles a deer, but is larger." The Shuowen says: "Belonging to the deer family; it sheds its antlers at the winter solstice. Derived from deer with an abbreviated mi phonetic").
