核𩋸（上衡革反顧野王云果實中核也說文從木亥聲下頟更反考聲云鞭堅也文字典說鞭竪牢也從革更聲或從石作硬俗字也）。

核𩋸 (The upper character has the fanqie 衡 [heng] + 革 [ge]. Gu Yewang says: 'The seed inside a fruit.' The Shuowen jiezi says it takes the wood radical with 亥 phonetic. The lower character has the fanqie 頟 [e] + 更 [geng]. The Kaosheng says: 'Tough and hard.' The Wenzidian shuo says: 'Tough, rigid, and firm.' It takes the leather radical with 更 phonetic.
