繖柄（上桑嬾反顧野王云繖即蓋也以帛為之可以障雨及日也從糸散聲律本作傘俗字也下兵命反說文云柄柯也從木丙聲也）。

繖柄 (The upper character has the fanqie 桑 [sang] + 嬾 [lan]. Gu Yewang says: 'A 繖 is a canopy; made of silk, it can shield against rain and sun.' It takes the silk radical with 散 phonetic. The Vinaya text uses 傘, which is a vulgar character. The lower character has the fanqie 兵 [bing] + 命 [ming]. The Shuowen jiezi says: 'A 柄 is a handle.' It takes the wood radical with 丙 phonetic).
