涌沸（上容腫反顧野王云涌謂水波騰涌也說文涌滕也從水甬聲甬音同上律文從力作勇俗用字也下非未反顧野王云沸者波涌也若湯之沸也詩傳云沸涌出也說文從水弗聲也）。

涌沸 'surging and boiling' (the first character is fanqie 容腫; Gu Yewang says: '涌 refers to waves surging upward'; the Shuowen jiezi says: '涌 means to leap up; it is formed from the water [radical] with 甬 phonetic'; 甬 has the same sound as above; the Vinaya text writes it with the power [radical] as 勇, which is a vulgar character; the second character is fanqie 非未; Gu Yewang says: '沸 means waves surging up, like the boiling of hot soup'; the Shijing commentary says: '沸 means bubbling out'; the Shuowen jiezi says: 'it is formed from the water [radical] with 弗 phonetic').
