拂柄 (Whisk handle: The first character [拂], pronounced *fen* + *wu* [fú]. The *Kaosheng* states: 'To strike lightly.' Zheng's commentary on the *Liji* states: '拂 means brushing away dust.' The second character [柄], pronounced *bi* + *jing* [bǐng]. Jia Kui's commentary on the *Guoyu* states: '抦 means to hold.' The *Gujin zhengzi* has it composed of 木 with 丙 as phonetic).
