參𢀩（上楚林反顧野王云叅差不齊等也蒼頡篇作叅叅亦差也古今正字從厽㐱聲也經從小作叅俗字也厽音壘㐱音𮝭下測冝反廣雅云差哀也說文從左[傘-(企-止)+一]聲[傘-(企-止)+一]音垂今𥛬書從羊作[(傘-(企-止)+一)-┬+(厂@工)]訛謬也㐱字從人從彡衺音夕嗟反從牙從衣）。

參𢀩 (Uneven: The first character [參], pronounced *chu* + *lin* [cēn]. Gu Yewang states: '參差 means uneven, not uniform.' The *Cang Jie pian* writes it as 叅; 叅 also means uneven. The *Gujin zhengzi* has it composed of 厽 with 㐱 as phonetic. In the sūtra it is written with 小 as 叅, a vulgar character. 厽 is pronounced *lei* [lěi]; 㐱 is pronounced *zhen* [zhěn]. The second character [𢀩], pronounced *ce* + *yi* [cī]. The *Guangya* states: '差 means to mourn.' The *Shuowen* has it composed of 左 with [傘-(企-止)+一] as phonetic; [傘-(企-止)+一] is pronounced *chui* [chuí]. In current clerical script it is written with 羊 as [(傘-(企-止)+一)-┬+(厂@工)], which is erroneous. The character 㐱 is composed of 人 and 彡. 衺 is pronounced *xi* + *jie* [xié]; composed of 牙 and 衣).
