顛墜(上典年反尒疋云顛頂也鄭注禮記云顛憂思之皃也說文從頁真聲也下木類反郭注爾雅云墜猶落也說文作墜從高而下也從𨸏遂省聲也從土者俗字也)。

Tumbling down (顛墜; the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 典年 [diān]. The Erya states: '顛 (diān) means the crown of the head.' Zheng Xuan's Commentary on the Book of Rites states: '顛 is the appearance of sorrowful brooding.' The Shuowen jiezi states that it takes 頁 as radical and 眞 as phonetic. The second character is pronounced with the fanqie 木類 [zhuì]. Guo Pu's Commentary on the Erya states: '墜 (zhuì) is like falling.' The Shuowen jiezi writes it as 𨺎, meaning to come down from a height; it takes 𨸏 as radical and the abbreviated 遂 as phonetic. The form written with 土 is a vulgar variant).
