叡通（以贅反孔注尚書叡必通於術賈注國語叡明也廣雅叡智也說文從[(├/(同-(一/口)+、))*又]從谷省目聲經從殳作叡誤也[(├/(同-(一/口)+、))*又]音才安反）。

叡通 (The *fanqie* is [j]- + [tsiuᴇi] (以贅反). Kong's commentary on the *Shangshu* says: '叡 means necessarily penetrating and conversant in methods.' Jia's commentary on the *Guoyu* says: '叡 means clear-sighted.' The *Guangya* says: '叡 means wise.' The *Shuowen jiezi* states that it is categorized under [(├/(同-(一/口)+、))*又], with an abbreviated form of 谷, and 目 phonetic. The sūtra text writes it with the radical 殳 as 叡 [variant], which is an error. The *fanqie* of [(├/(同-(一/口)+、))*又] is [dzʰ]- + [ʔɑn] (才安反)).
