Gravel and stones (礫石: the first character has the fanqie 零的 [líng + de -> lì]; the *Chuci* says: "Gravel and pottery shards advance, while precious gems recede." The *Shuowen [jiezi]* says: "Small stones; it takes the 'stone' radical with *le* (樂) phonetic").
