希冀（上香依反韻詮希慕也考聲罕也法言云希冀也經作悕俗字也古文作希下冀音寄韻詮云冀望也經作冀俗字也說文北方州也從北異聲也）。

希冀 (the first character is the fanqie 香 + 依 [xī]; the Yunquan: "希 means to admire/yearn for." The Kaosheng: "Rare." The Fayan says: "希冀 means to hope/aspire." The sūtra uses the popular character 悕; in ancient script it is written as 希. The second character, 冀, is pronounced like 寄 [jì]; the Yunquan says: "冀 means to hope for." The sūtra writes it as 冀, a popular form. The Shuowen: "A northern province; from 北 with 異 providing the sound").
