稟性（彼錦反孔注尚書云稟受也說文賜穀也從禾㐭聲也㐭音力錦反經從示作稟誤也）。

Endowed nature (稟性: [the first character is] pronounced 彼 + 錦 fanqie; Kong's commentary on the Classic of Documents says: 稟 means to receive; Shuowen says: to bestow grain; it takes he [禾] as its classifier and 㐭 as its phonetic; 㐭 is pronounced 力 + 錦 fanqie; the sūtra writing it with shi [示] as 稟 is an error).
