芒衣（武房反考聲草末也然別有草葉如劒刃觸則傷人離繫外道將以為衣傷其皮宍以為苦行也）。

Awn clothing (芒衣: [the first character is] pronounced 武 + 房 fanqie; Kaosheng says: the awn of grass; however, there is a distinct grass whose leaves are like sword blades, cutting anyone who touches them; the Nirgrantha non-Buddhists make garments out of it to cut their skin and flesh, taking this to be ascetic practice).
