聸耳（上荅甘反考聲云瞻耳垂貌也山海經有瞻耳之國郭注云其國人耳大垂下儋在肩說文云亦垂耳也從耳詹聲儋亦同音也）。

聸耳 (The first syllable has the fanqie 荅甘 [dān]. The Kaosheng says: "聸 [dān] is the appearance of pendulous ears." The Shanhaijing mentions the 'Country of Pendulous Ears' (Zhan'er guo). Guo [Pu's] commentary says: "The people of that country have large ears that hang down and rest upon their shoulders." The Shuowen jiezi says: "Also means pendulous ears." It takes 耳 [ěr] as semantic and 詹 [zhān] as phonetic. 儋 has the same pronunciation.)
