榘矱（上俱禹反廣雅云矩方也古今正字云倕作規矩亦方也從木矩聲論作矩俗同用也下枉籰反考聲云矱規也倕音垂古工人也籰王縛反）。

榘矱 (The first syllable has the fanqie 俱禹 [jǔ]. The Guangya says: "榘 [jǔ] means square/carpenter's square." The Gujin zhengzi says: "Chui invented the compass and square; it also means square." It takes 木 [mù] as semantic and 矩 [jǔ] as phonetic. In common texts it is written 矩, used interchangeably. The second syllable has the fanqie 枉籰 [yuè]. The Kaosheng says: "矱 [yuè] means a standard or compass." Chui (倕) is pronounced 垂 [chuí], an ancient artisan. 籰 has the fanqie 王縛 [yuè].)
