謗讟（上博徬反孔注論語云謗訕也杜注左傳云謗毀也說文從言旁聲下同目反杜注左傳云讟誹謗也廣雅惡也郭注方言云誣怨痛曰讟說文從言讀聲）。

謗讟 (The upper [character] is bo + bang [bàng]. Kong's commentary to the Analects says: "謗 means to slander." Du's commentary to the Zuozhuan says: "謗 means to revile." The Shuowen [notes that it] derives from 言 [speech] with 旁 as phonetic. The lower [character] is tong + mu [dú]. Du's commentary to the Zuozhuan says: "讟 means to calumniate." The Guangya says: "It means evil/hatred." Guo's commentary to the Fangyan says: "Falsely accusing in bitter grievance is called 讟." The Shuowen [notes that it] derives from 言 [speech] with 讀 [賣] as phonetic.)
