九箴（執任反杜注左傳云箴戒也聲類㓨也孔注尚書云箴誨言也賈注國語教也說文從竹咸聲㓨音次古正作刺）。

九箴 (zhi + ren [zhēn]. Du's commentary to the Zuozhuan says: "箴 means admonition." The Shenglei says: "To pierce (cì)." Kong's commentary to the Book of Documents says: "箴 means words of instruction." Jia's commentary to the Guoyu says: "Instruction." The Shuowen [notes that it] derives from 竹 [bamboo] with 咸 as phonetic. 㓨 is pronounced cì; in antiquity it was properly written as 刺.)
