麕麚（上音君劉兆注公羊傳云麕麞也下音加郭注爾雅云麚雄鹿也說文云鹿以夏至日解角也麕麚二字並從鹿形聲字也）。

麕麚 ('roebucks and stags': the first character has the sound 君. Liu Zhao's commentary to the Gongyang zhuan says: '麕 means a roe deer.' The second character has the sound 加. Guo's commentary to the Erya says: '麚 is a male deer.' The Shuowen says: 'Deer shed their antlers on the day of the summer solstice.' Both characters 麕 and 麚 are derived from 鹿 (deer) and are phono-semantic characters).
