懍厲（上林錦反下憐計反埤蒼懍亦悷也轉相訓也說文懍從心稟聲厲或作捩也）。

懍厲 (Stern and awe-inspiring: the first is *lǐn* [fanqie: 林錦]; the second is *lì* [fanqie: 憐計]. The *Picang* notes *lǐn* is also *lì*, mutually glossing one another. The *Shuowen jiezi* states that *lǐn* is classified under 'mind' (心) with 稟 as phonetic. 厲 is also written as 捩).
