戍達羅 (Śūdra: Formerly written 首陀, which was an abbreviation and incorrect. People of this caste apply themselves to agricultural labor: tilling, sowing, planting, and paying taxes to the king's ministers. Most of them are common subjects and farming folk, sparse in learning and knowledge. Among the four castes, this occupies the lowest rank).
