虛偽 ("empty and false": the upper character xū, according to Shuowen, is composed of 虍—pronounced 呼—and 丘. In the scripture text it is written with 雨 as 靈, which does not form a correct character. The lower character has the fanqie 危位 [wěi]. Guangya says: "Wěi means deception." Zheng's commentary to the Liji says: "Fake." Shuowen says: "Deceit." It is composed of 人 with 為 as the phonetic.)
