The *Fangyan* states: 'Turnip cabbage with purple flowers is called 蘆菔 [*lúfú*]; it is a root vegetable, commonly called radish (蘿蔔).' Guo Pu's commentary states: 'In Jiangdong today it is called warm cabbage (溫菘), and its seeds are like small beans.' The *Shuowen jiezi* states: 'Resembles the turnip (蕪菁).'
