㱇然 (The *fanqie* is [ʂ]- + [ʈɨək̚] (所側反). The *Kaosheng* states: 'Terrified.' Fu Qian's *Tongsu wen* says: 'Slightly frightened is called 㱇.' The *Picang* states: 'Also means fearful and terrified.' The *Gongyang zhuan* says: 'Trembling in fear (㱇然) and alarmed,' which is this word. The *Shuowen jiezi* states that it is categorized under the radical 欠 (yawn/breath) with 嗇 phonetic.
