The Kingdom of Agni. (This is the first kingdom to the west of the two deserts. 耆 is pronounced like 祇. Anciently called Yingyi, or Wuyi, or Wuqi. That is, among the garrisons of Anxi, it is one of those garrisons, seven hundred li west of Anxi. In Han times, the cities of Loulan, Shanshan, Weixu, Weili, and so forth, were all in this land. Some relocated their capitals and altered their settlements, some resided in this city, some dwelled in that domain; some took names following their lords, or annexed and destroyed one another; hence there are many names, all adjacent to one another. Today some are mounds and ruins.)
