閩越 (The upper character is pronounced with the fanqie 密邠 [mǐn]. The lower character is pronounced with the fanqie 袁月 [yuè]. Guo's commentary to the Shanhaijing says: "Minyue and Xi'ou are the Jian'an commandery; it borders the sea." The Shuowen says: "The Min are a snake breed of the southern Yue; it takes 虫 as radical and 門 as phonetic." The lower character 越 takes 或 with 戉 as phonetic, pronounced the same as above.)
