遼敻 (The first character has the fanqie phonetic spelling 了 [liǎo] + 焦 [jiāo], [liáo]. The Guangya says: "'Liáo' means far away." The Shuowen says: "It takes 辵 [walk] as its radical and 尞 as its phonetic component"; the sound is the same. The second character has the fanqie phonetic spelling 儇 [xuān] + 娉 [pīng], [xiòng]. Liu Zhao's commentary to the Guliang zhuan says: "'Xiòng' means deep." The Kaosheng says: "It is properly written with 攴 as 敻; it means striving to seek but not yet attaining; it also means far away." The Shuowen also says: "It means striving to seek. It is composed of 𥄎 and a person above a cave (穴); it is a mutual-definition character (zhuanzhu)." The phonetic reading of 𥄎 is 火 [huǒ] + 劣 [liè], [huò]).
