乳哺（下浦慕反許慎注淮南子云口中嚼食與之似鳥與兒食曰哺說文從口甫聲也今經文從食作餔米糊也又逋布二音非乳哺義也）。

Breastfeeding and feeding (乳哺: the second character has the fanqie 浦慕 [bù]. Xu Shen's commentary on the Huainanzi says: "Chewing food in the mouth and giving it to an infant, like a bird feeding its chick, is called 哺." The Shuowen says: "Formed from 口 (mouth) with 甫 as the phonetic component." The present sūtra text writes it with 食 as 餔, which means rice congee; it also has the two pronunciations bū and bù, and does not have the meaning of nursing and feeding).
