嚬嘁（上毘寅反下子六反文字集略云嚬者嘁眉也顧野王云憂愁思慮不樂之皃也古文作顰亦作顰下或作㗤經文從足作蹙非也）。

Frowning and knit-browed (嚬嘁: the first character has the fanqie 毘寅 [pín]. The second character has the fanqie 子六 [qī]. The Wenzi jilüe says: "Frowning (嚬) means furrowing the eyebrows." Gu Yewang says: "The appearance of worry, anxiety, and displeasure." The ancient script writes it as 顰, and also as 顰. The second is also written as 㗤. In the sūtra text it is written with 足 as 蹙, which is incorrect).
