賙給（上之由反毛詩傳云賙救也鄭箋云權救其患也說文云從貝周聲也下金立反顧野王云給權供也賈注國語云給及也足也備也說文相供足也從糸合聲）。

賙給 [to aid and supply] (The upper character is pronounced with the fanqie 之由 [zhōu]. The commentary to the Mao classic of poetry says: “賙 means to rescue.” Zheng [Xuan]'s supplementary notes say: “To expediently relieve their distress.” The Shuowen jiezi says: “Formed from 貝 [cowrie/wealth] with 周 as the phonetic element.” The lower character is pronounced with the fanqie 金立 [jǐ]. Gu Yewang says: “給 means to provision expediently.” Jia [Kui]'s commentary to the Guoyu says: “給 means to reach; to suffice; to provide.” The Shuowen jiezi says: “To mutually supply until sufficient; formed from 糸 [silk] with 合 as the phonetic element”).
