暎蔽（上於敬反李注文選云暎傍照也孫緬云隱也從日英聲經文從央作映音烏浪反非此用也下卑袂反史記云蔽障也說文云從草敝聲也敝音同上）。

To screen / to obstruct (暎蔽) (The first [character] has the fanqie yú + jìng [yìng]. Li [Shan]'s commentary on the Wenxuan states: 'Yìng means to illuminate from the side.' Sun Mian says: 'To conceal.' It derives from sun (日) with the phonetic yīng (英). In the sūtra text it is written with yāng (央) as 映, with the fanqie wū + làng [yàng], which is not the usage here. The second [character] has the fanqie bēi + mèi [bì]. The Shiji states: 'Bì means to screen/block.' The Shuowen states: 'It derives from grass (草) with the phonetic bì (敝).' 敝 has the same pronunciation as above).
