羈鞅（上居宜反字書云絆也韻集云絡馬頭革帶也說文從革囚馬會意字也下於兩反玉篇云強也切韻云車軮荷也又云牛項索也字從革央聲也）。

Jiyang 羈鞅 (The upper character is the fanqie ju + yi; character books state: 'To tether.' The Yunji states: 'A leather strap encircling a horse's head.' The Shuowen explains it as a compound ideogram taking the leather radical with a horse restrained. The lower character is the fanqie yu + liang; the Yupian states: 'Strong.' The Qieyun states: 'A carriage harness.' It also states: 'The rope for an ox's neck.' The character takes the leather radical with yang as phonetic.).
