杳邈（上烏皎切韻杳冥也孝聲云深也顧野王云寬廣貌御注老子云杳冥不測也下莫角反說文遠也韻集云邈漸也從辵貌聲錄文作邈俗字）。

Yaomiao 杳邈 (The first character has the fanqie phonetic spelling [y- + -ǎo > y-] wū jiǎo [反]. The Qieyun says: "Yao 杳 means obscure and dark." The Kaosheng says: "Deep." Gu Yewang says: "A vast and broad appearance." The Imperial Commentary on the Laozi says: "Obscure and unfathomable." The second character has the fanqie phonetic spelling [m- + -iǎo > m-] mò jiǎo 反.
