編摭（上卑連反說文云編次簡也謂古以竹簡書字故排連編次也下之石反字書云摭拾也玉篇摭取也亦作拓字）。

Bianzhi 編摭 (The first character has the fanqie phonetic spelling [b- + -iān > b-] bēi lián 反. The Shuowen jiezi says: "Bian 編 means to arrange bamboo slips in sequence; it means that in ancient times characters were written on bamboo slips, so they were strung together and arranged in order." The second character has the fanqie phonetic spelling [zh- + -í > zh-] zhī shí 反. The Zishu says: "Zhi 摭 means to gather / pick up." The Yupian says: "Zhi means to take." It is also written as tuo 拓).
