殉法（上辞閏反說文云以生人送葬也顧野王云亾身從物為殉也字從歹句聲歹午達反[(餐-食)-又+ㄎ]骨殘也[(餐-食)-又+ㄎ]音朽）。

Sacrificing oneself for the Dharma (殉法: the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 辞閏 [z- + -iuɪn = xùn]. The Shuowen jiezi says: 'To bury living people along with the dead.' Gu Yewang says: 'To perish one's body in pursuit of an object is to sacrifice (殉).' The character is composed of the death radical [歹] with 句 as phonetic; 歹 is pronounced with the fanqie 午達 [ng- + -ɑt = è], meaning broken remains of bones; [...] is pronounced 朽 [xiǔ]).
