原燎（上牛袁反爾雅云廣平曰原下力召反尚書云若火之燎於原也說文云放火也從火尞聲也）。

Plain ablaze (原燎: the first character is [pronounced with the fanqie] niu + yuan; the Erya says: "A wide and level expanse is called a plain [原]"; the second character is [pronounced with the fanqie] li + zhao; the Shangshu says: "Like a fire blazing across the plain"; the Shuowen says it means "to set fire to," formed from fire [火] with liao as phonetic).
