筌蹄（上七緣反說文取魚竹籠也亦名魚笱音苟從竹全聲下束奚反說文作蹏莊子云筌所以取魚得魚而忘筌蹄者所以取免得免而忘蹄也）。

筌蹄 (The first character has the fanqie 七緣 [qī + yuán]. The Shuowen jiezi states: 'A bamboo trap for catching fish; also called a fish trap [魚笱].' 笱 is pronounced 苟 [gǒu]. Derived from 竹 [bamboo] with 全 as phonetic. The second character has the fanqie 束奚 [shù + xī]. In the Shuowen jiezi it is written 蹏. The Zhuangzi states: 'A fish trap is for catching fish; once the fish is caught, one forgets the fish trap. A snare is for catching hares; once the hare is caught, one forgets the snare.').
