碑誄（上彼皮反釋名云碑本葬時所樹臣子追述君父之功書其上也下力軌反考聲云誄壘也述亡者而敘哀情也說文云誄諡也從言耒聲也耒音盧會反）。

碑誄 (The first character has the fanqie 彼皮 [bǐ + pí]. The Shiming states: 'Steles were originally erected at funerals so that ministers and sons could recount the merits of their lords and fathers, inscribing them thereon.' The second character has the fanqie 力軌 [lì + guǐ]. The Kaosheng states: '誄 means to pile up [壘], recounting the deceased and expressing sorrow.' The Shuowen jiezi states: '誄 is a posthumous praise; derived from 言 [speech] with 耒 as phonetic.' 耒 has the fanqie 盧會 [lú + huì]).
