蜇螫 (The first character has the fanqie zhi + lie. Dictionaries say: 'The sting of scorpions and bees; poison.' In ancient script, it is written as 虻. The second character has the fanqie shang + zhi. The Qieyun says: 'An insect discharging poison. It says that scorpions on the ground have poisonous stings, so one must not touch their tails.' The Kaosheng says: '螫 means to bite or gnaw.' In ancient script, it is written as 蠚).
