荊棘（上舉卿反切韻荊木名可以染也從草刑聲也下紀力反考聲云酸棗木名也切韻云箴也從二朿也朿音㓨也）。

Thorns and brambles (荊棘: the first character has the fanqie 舉卿 [ju + qing / jīng]. The Qieyun says: "The name of a tree, which can be used for dyeing; formed from 艸 [grass] with 刑 as the phonetic component." The second character has the fanqie 紀力 [ji + li / jí]. The Kaosheng says: "The name of the sour jujube tree." The Qieyun says: "Prickles; formed from two 朿. 朿 has the pronunciation 㓨 [cì].")
