摩䤈首羅（梵語訛也正云麼䤈濕伐羅也麼䤈此云大也濕伐囉此云自在天也即大自在天王也謂此天王於大千界中得白在故）。

摩䤈首羅 (Maheśvara: a corruption of the Sanskrit; the correct form is Maheśvara; mahā here means “great,” and īśvara here means “sovereign god,” that is, the Great Sovereign Devarāja; it is said that this deva king attains sovereignty in the great trichiliocosm).
