祠祭（上似茲反爾雅曰春祭曰祠郭注曰祠之言飤也下子例反切韻享薦也論語云祭神如神在如前花嚴經第十二已釋）。

祠祭: The upper [character is read with the] fanqie si + zi. The Erya states: 'The spring sacrifice is called ci (祠).' Guo's Commentary states: 'The word ci means to feed (si).' The lower [character is read with the] fanqie zi + li. The Qieyun states: 'To offer in sacrifice.' The Analects states: 'Sacrifice to the spirits as if the spirits were present.' As previously explained in Fascicle 12 of the Avataṃsaka-sūtra.
