蹋處（上徒合反切韻蹴也顧野王云蹋踐也字林躡也經文從沓作踏亦通沓音同上從氺不從水氺古文別字也）。

Place of trampling (蹋處: the first [character] is *ta*, fanqie 徒合. The Qieyun says: 'To kick.' Gu Yewang says: 'To trample.' The Zilin says: 'To tread.' In the sūtra text it is written with 沓 as 踏, which is also acceptable; 沓 has the same pronunciation as above; it is derived from 氺, not from 水; 氺 is a distinct ancient script character).
