White shell and snow (珂雪: the first [character] is *ke*, fanqie 苦何. The Shuowen jiezi says: 'A kind of cowrie.' Derived from the jade radical 玉 with 可 as phonetic. Character dictionaries say: 'Horse bridles ornamented with white cowrie.' The second character 雪 is derived from ⺕, pronounced *shou*).
